RAF Leeming 80th Anniversary Gin 50cl
Northumberland Spirit Co. are proud to be able to release this very special edition commemorating the 80th Anniversary of RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire.
RAF Leeming opened on 3rd June 1940, initially with No.10 Squadron flying Handley Page Halifax Bombers. In 1942 the base was handed over to the Royal Canadian Air Force who flew from there for the remainder of WWII flying Halifax, Wellington and Lancaster bombers. Fast forward through the years and the base has hosted a number of RAF squadrons flying a range of aircraft, including the mighty Tornado and now 100 Squadron flying Hawks as the RAF’s only Aggressor Squadron delivering operational training including support to the Typhoon Force and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) serials.
We have been working closely with the RAF over the last few months to create this commemorative edition gin. Featuring our signature stoneware bottle and award winning Alnwick Gin, the solid brass front label features the crest of RAF Leeming, with their motto ‘Straight and True’, and the dates 3 June 1940 – 3rd June 2020
To show our support to the magnificent men and woman of the RAF we will be donating £5.00 off each bottle sold to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund to support them in the work they do for past, present and future RAF personnel
50cl bottle – 37.5% ABV
